WORKPLACE MEDIATION SERVICES FOR SMALL BUSINESSES & EMPLOYEES

Settle your issue before it takes any more of your precious time and energy.

As a qualified Workplace Mediator (OCN Level 3) I can help both sides reach a satisfying resolution while maintaining the integrity of your working relationship. The process is entirely voluntary and confidential; information may only be shared with the express permission of both parties involved.

Mediation can be used at any stage of a dispute, even in the middle of formal procedures (they are set aside in order to reflect the facilitative nature of mediation).

The Mediator is entirely neutral and impartial. My role is to encourage each party to clearly express their perspective in a non-judgemental space and then facilitate the two parties to reach a mutually agreed outcome.

I am not here to tell you what to do, pass judgment, or take sides. My job is to help you move forward, beyond the current dispute.

Mediation is focused on finding an acceptable way forward for both parties while maintaining a productive working relationship.

In brief phone calls to each party, I will explain how mediation works and check that both parties are happy to proceed.

Managing the parties to clearly communicate and remain calm, rebuilding respect, understanding boundaries and settling on a mutually agreed solution.

Giving each party space to articulate the events which have led them to mediation; encouraging reflection, and focusing them on the future, beyond the dispute.

Conflict costs UK employers £28.5 billion each year – an average of over £1,000 for every employee.

Employers spend an average of SIX days of management time dealing with each individual disciplinary case, and FIVE days dealing with a grievance case.

Let me help you find a way through.

WHO PAYS FOR WORKPLACE MEDIATION?

The employer pays for the mediation.

And an employee can request mediation.

Formal procedures damage the employment relationship, leaving one or both employees with unresolved issues relating to the conflict/damaging the working environment, and impacting your team.

Mediation enables you to fast-track a resolution that keeps the working relationship intact, and often the lessons learned during the process can enhance the workplace.

COSTS OF MEDIATION

A full day of mediation services is £795.

Mediation is a significantly quicker, and less expensive route to resolving an issue, when compared with the cost and impact on your workplace of a conflict escalating into formal procedures, a legal dispute or tribunal.

At the start of the process, the employer will sign a Mediation Agreement, indicating they are happy to settle my bill regardless of the outcome of the mediation process.
